Edward L. Soll, M.D.

After receiving his undergraduate degree from St. Joseph’s College, Philadelphia, PA, Dr. Soll received a medical degree from Tulane University. Upon completion of his internship at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, he went on to residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Charity Hospital and United States Public Health Service. Dr. Soll served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Tulane University School of Medicine and also served as a consulting radiologist at Charity Hospital. Prior to establishing his own outpatient imaging centers, Dr. Soll was a staff radiologist and served as Chief of the Medical Staff at Lakeside Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and his professional associations include the Louisiana State Medical Society, Jefferson Parish Medical Society, American College of Radiology, Society of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, American Institute of Ultrasound and the RSNA (Radiologic Society of North America). His principal areas of interest include MRI, CT and Nuclear Medicine as it pertained to Neuroradiology and Musculoskeletal Imaging.

Since his retirement from general radiology, Dr. Soll has served as a technical and business advisor for his family at Doctors Imaging. His current practice is limited to the evaluation of patients that have had brain injury with post-concussion difficulties. He works closely with the Psychology Departments at the University of New Mexico, the University of New Orleans and the Mind Research Network in Albuquerque and continues to perform Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) of spine abnormalities and often testifies as an expert in State and Federal courts.

Anne L. Foundas, M.D., FAAN

Anne L. Foundas, M.D., FAAN is a New Orleans native and board-certified neurologist with over 20 years of experience caring for people with cognitive and memory disorders. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wellesley College, her Medical Degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) in New Orleans, and completed residency and fellowship training in Neurology, and Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville.
Dr. Foundas began her career at the Tulane University School of Medicine where she created an interdisciplinary, inter-institutional research and clinical program in brain aging and brain development. She is an accomplished clinical researcher with over 200 scientific publications and an established record of research funding.
Dr. Foundas served as Director of the Neurology Residency Training Program at Tulane University, Vice-Chair of Clinical Research at the LSU School of Medicine, Chair of the Department of Neurology at the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine, and Medical Director of the Center for Neurology and Cognitive Neuroscience at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City.
Dr. Foundas is currently Executive Director of the Brain Institute of Louisiana, Research Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at LSU in Baton Rouge, and Managing Partner of NOLA Brain and Behavior. Dr. Foundas’ clinical practice focuses on patients with cognitive disorders. Her clinical research program is designed to promote brain health through medical research and education.

Jeffrey David Lewine, Ph.D.

Jeffrey David Lewine, PhD is a Professor of Translational Neuroscience at the MIND Research Network in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is also an adjunct associate professor in the departments of Psychology and Neurology at the University of New Mexico, the Director of Neuroscience for Lovelace Scientific Resources, the Director of Clinical Research for Cognionics Inc, and the CEO of the Center for Advanced Diagnostics, Evaluation, and Therapeutics – NM. In addition, Dr. Lewine is the prinicpal neuroscientific consultant for the MINDSET Consulting Group which supports the use of neuroscientific data in legal settings.
Dr. Lewine’s research uses psychophysical, behavioral and brain imaging methods to study brain structure and function in health and disease. He has done research on a wide range of clinical conditions including autism, ADHD, depression, dyslexia, epilepsy, schizophrenia, multiple sclerosis, tinnitus, post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury. These investigations have been funded, in part, by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense, BARDA, Cure Autism Now, NARSAD, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs.
Dr. Lewine received his doctorate in neuroscience in 1989 from the University of Rochester. Following completion of his graduate training, he was named a Director’s Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory where he worked on the development of advanced brain imaging technologies. Dr. Lewine has previously directed functional brain imaging programs in New Mexico, Utah, Kansas, and Illinois. He is the co-author of a textbook on functional brain imaging and he has co-authored more than 100 articles and book chapters.

David Silvestri, M.D.

Dr. David Silvestri completed his medical school training at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA. He then received his residency training in Diagnostic Radiology from LSUMC and Charity Hospital, where he served as chief resident. He has been in continuous private practice in the greater New Orleans area since 1997 with a particular interest in vascular imaging and interventional procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Dr. Silvestri was most recently Medical Director and Chief Medical Information Officer at Louisiana Heart Hospital in Lacombe. He is interested in informatics as it relates to improving patient care. He serves as Medical Director for Doctors Imaging and is a consultant to the Concussion Group.

Lyn Gaudet Kiehl, M.A., J.D.

Lyn Gaudet Kiehl, M.A., J.D. is an attorney with a forensic psychology and behavioral neuroscience background. Lyn is the former Research Director for the Center for Law, Science & Innovation at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Her areas of expertise include the admissibility of scientific and expert evidence with a focus on neuroscience and evaluations of mental health and traumatic brain injury in both criminal and civil litigation. As the director of MINDSET’s forensic consultation practice, Lyn’s goal is to help lawyers support their arguments with peer-reviewed, published, well-validated research and connect lawyers with consulting and testifying experts with excellent academic credentials. MINDSET brings together attorneys, neuroscientists, neuroradiologists, neuropsychologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, and more than 50 other experts from a wide variety of other medical and mental health specialties, all with a shared commitment to the responsible use of science in the courtroom.

Jason Kerkmans, J.D.

Jason Kerkmans, J.D., has a background in journalism and mental disability research. He has presented and written on neuroethics, the admissibility of scientific evidence in civil and criminal court, and forensic applications of neuroscience in the United States and abroad. In addition, Jason oversees MINDSET’s legal software service CaseReview and is an adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law. He was also a member of the law school team lead by Distinguished Professor Jim Ellis that prepared an amicus brief on behalf of The American Association of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities et al., in the 2014 United States Supreme Court case, Hall v. Florida. Through MINDSET’s forensic consultation practice, Jason regularly helps provide legal integration of expert opinions, translating between science and the law to better ensure that well-validated science is accurately represented to the courts.

David Robinson, R.T. (R)(MR)(CT)(MRSO)

David Robinson, R.T. (R)(MR)(CT)(MRSO) is the director of imaging services for Doctors Imaging in Metairie La. David has been involved in MRI scanning since 1989 on both the clinical and research clinical settings. He has done independent MRI development projects and applications for Picker-Marconi/Phillips, Toshiba, Hitachi and Siemens. David’s work involved testing and clinical applications related to software and hardware along with clinical sequence applications for protocol improvement with MRI/MRA body sequences, breast imaging, prostate imaging, and brain spectroscopy. David maintains an independent customer client base for training and advanced technologist training on MRI scanners.
